Equality Statement & Objectives

Our school aims to meet its obligations under the public sector equality duty by having due regard to the need to:

• Eliminate discrimination and other conduct that is prohibited by the Equality Act 2010
• Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it
• Foster good relations across all characteristics – between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it

Our Equality Objectives:

1. Accelerate progress of pupils in maths/ reading/ grammar across KS2 – with a focus on middle achieving girls, middle achieving SEND, more able disadvantaged pupils
2. To improve FSM (PP) attendance and reduce levels of persistent absenteeism
3. Senior leaders will give due regard to equality, diversity and inclusion during monitoring practices including learning walks, lesson observations, book looks and in our school self-evaluation.
