Newstead Wood Parents' Association Y4 and 5

Paid School Meal Price Changes
Dear Parents / Guardians
Our catering company has increased the lunch price recently due to increasing inflation factor. Therefore, school has to increase the lunch price from £2.30 to £2.40 from 20th February 2023 for all pupil paid meals.
This change would not affect pupils who are eligible for universal school free meal (UFSM) or registered for free school meal (FSM) due to low income.

We are pleased to announce that we have now expanded after school wrap around care capacity for more pupils (currently on Wednesdays only).

Wrap Around Care - Price changes
The School is putting up the prices of our Breakfast Club and After School Club ( These are different from enrichment ).
From Monday 20th February the costs will be:
Breakfast club : £4 per child per day
After School Club : £12 per child per day
We have tried really hard to keep the cost to parents down, but it is getting increasingly impossible with these clubs currently running at a deficit of about £37,000. I understand that this is a difficult time to announce price increases, but it is not sustainable to continue running the clubs on such significant loss.
I have been at Adamsrill for over 8 years and this is the first time that we have put up the price and we are still cheaper than other providers.
